✅ Guest Participation: All staying and daily guests are expected to separate recyclable materials (organic, packaging, glass, household) when throwing away trash. Bins are provided in accommodation areas and common areas where they can do this separation.

✅ Avoid Mixed Waste: It is strictly forbidden to throw garbage “all together” in the facility; there is a detailed warning and information to prevent mixing of organic and recyclable waste.

✅ Waste Separation: At Polonezköy Country Club, we implement a simple but effective waste separation practice. There are three basic waste categories in our facility:

1️⃣ Organic Waste → Food waste, fruit and vegetable peels and decomposable natural waste.

2️⃣ Packaging Waste → All recyclable packaging except glass: plastics, metals, paper, composite milk cartons and packages. No detailed distinction is made in this group, they are all collected in one box.

3️⃣ Glass Waste → Only glass bottles, jars and other glass materials. Glass is collected separately from other packaging.

4️⃣ Household Waste → Used tissues, toilet paper and contaminated waste that has lost its recyclability.

🔹 Batteries and Special Waste: There are separate collection boxes for used batteries and special waste (e.g. electronic waste); these should not be thrown into normal waste bins.

💬 We kindly ask our guests to: Use the sorting boxes located in the accommodation and common areas correctly and support this simple separation rule. Separating waste correctly is a fundamental part of our efforts to protect nature.

✅ Waste in Animal Areas: It is forbidden to throw food waste directly in areas where animals are present, as this poses a risk to both hygiene and animal health.

✅ Organic Waste Management: Organic waste is directed to the compost process or used in animal feed in a way that does not harm nature.

✅ Sustainability Communication: This discipline is conveyed to guests with information materials throughout the facility and in the rooms; sometimes reminders are made directly at check-in or in reservation confirmations.

✅ Energy and Water Saving: We use low-energy appliances, energy-efficient lighting and water-reducing fixtures to ensure that energy and water used in the facility are consumed responsibly.

✅ Reducing Single-Use Products: Reusable materials are preferred instead of plastic bottles and packaging.

✅ Guest Awareness: We provide our guests with information about our environmentally friendly practices and expect them to contribute to this process.

✅ Staff Training: All our employees receive regular training on sustainability practices and waste policies.
